Historic Week Leads Brown to GNAC Player of the Week
WINTHROP, Mass. – Mitchell College junior Bliss Brown (Rainbow City, Ala.) was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week for the sport of women's volleyball, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.
It was a historic week for Brown, who tallied 73 kills across three games for the Mariners, posting 6.08 kills per set while also recording 3.50 digs per set. Brown broke out for 31 kills and 11 digs against the University of Saint Joseph. Hungry for more, the junior recorded 37 kills and 25 digs against Colby-Sawyer College surpassing her own record of 33 kills by posting a school Division III era record 37 kills against the Chargers.
The Mariners (6-13, 4-8 GNAC) will host Anna Maria College for senior day on Saturday, October 21st, at 1:00 pm .
