Mens Lacrosse Falls to Anna Maria
NEW LONDON, Conn. - The Mitchell College men's lacrosse team lost to the Amcats of Anna Maria College this afternoon, 17-4 . Mike Saulnier (Wrentham, Mass.) led the Amcats with 10 goals, and Joseph Fedullo (Middletown, Mass.) added two goals and one assist in the win. The Mariners were led by Adam Grillo (Waterford, Conn.) who scored two goals, and Zach Ledvina (New Bedford, Mass.) added a goal and an assist.
Anna Maria started the game strongly and had a 23-5 shots on goal advantage in the first half which translated into a 10-2 score at the intermission. J.C. Crowley (Wantagh, N.Y.) contributed with a goal and two assists on the day, as teammate Nick Caponi (Leominster, Mass.) finished with two goals and an assist.
For the Mariners, Gregory Jameson (Newington, Conn.) made 13 saves in goal, and Chris Santapaola (Middletown, Conn.) and Chris VanDale (East Brookfield, Mass.) each picked up six ground balls.
The Mariners are now 0-5 on the season and travel to Green Mountain College on Sunday, April 5th.
