LAX's Brodaski, Brockwell Sweep NECC Weekly Honors
ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Two members of the Mitchell College men's lacrosse team were honored by the New England Collegiate Conference on Monday.
Senior McCarthy Brodaski was named NECC Player of the Week while freshman Jackson Brockwell was tabbed NECC Rookie of the Week. The duo helped the Mariners to their first win of the season by a 16-12 final over Albertus Magnus College on March 1.
Brodaski had a career day against the Falcons, scoring seven goals and recording three assists for a 10-point effort. The seven goals tied the school's single game record and were the most by a Mitchell player since the 2011 season.
Brockwell finished with two goals and two assists in the game. He netted his first career goal with 5:23 to go in the contest and added the second less than five minutes later.
Mitchell (1-1 overall) will next host Dean College on Saturday, March 18 at 1 p.m.
