WESTON, Mass. - The Mitchell College men's basketball team suffered a 91-79 setback at Regis College on Thursday night at Higgins Court.
Frank Martin and Domenico Santiago each finished with 20 points to lead the Mitchell offense. Martin shot 6-for-8 from three-point range while Santiago grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds to record his team-leading eighth double-double of the season. Donavan McClean (16 points, 10 rebounds) and Parris Hill (12 points, 11 rebounds) also finished with double-doubles on the night.
Mitchell never led and trailed 41-35 at the break. The Mariners cut the deficit to four in the second half but would get no closer. Regis rookie Ademola Alfonja led all scorers with 27 points.
Mitchell will next host Soutern Vermont College on Saturday, February 6 at 3 p.m.
