HENNIKER, N.H. -- The Mitchell College women's lacrosse team ended the regular season with a 20-5 loss at New England College on Saturday afternoon in a New England Collegiate Conference clash at Don Melander Field.
Lindsey Fairbank recorded a hat trick and two assists to lead the Mariners. Hannah Corrigan and Daniella Holland also found the back of the net for Mitchell in the contest.
NEC scored the first six goals en route to a 13-2 halftime lead. Nathalie Antigua and Meghan Oliver each netted three goals apiece to lead the charge.
The Pilgrims led by double digits the entire second half. Oliver finished with a game-high four goals along with teammates Lauren Rich and Cassandra Nelson.
Mitchell's Ashley Holdridge was peppered by 36 shots in goal and posted a season-high 16 saves in the loss.
The Mariners (0-11 overall, 0-6 NECC) will be the fourth seed in the upcoming NECC Championship. Mitchell will face the top seed (TBD) in the semifinals on Thursday, April 29.
