LEICESTER, Mass. -- Becker College defeated Mitchell College 23-6 in New England Collegiate Conference women's lacrosse action Wednesday evening at Alumni Field.
The win lifted the Hawks' record to 8-5 (3-1 NECC), while the Mariners dropped to 2-8 (1-4 NECC).
The Hawks were led by Ashley Mossey's game-high seven goals. Tatum Fahs and Christina Boucher tickled the twine five times each.
Freshman Ashley Murtha led the Mariners with a team-best four goals. Classmate Sophie Spiller and sophomore Veyda McVey also netted goals for Mitchell.
Becker goalie Shelby Wicks made two saves for the Hawks, while junior Anysia Lombardo turned away 17 shots for the Mariners.
Both teams will wrap up the regular season on Saturday, April 26. Becker will travel to Regis College at 1:00p.m., while Mitchell will visit Bay Path College at 10:00 a.m.
