Junior Eddie Volkerts (New London, Conn.) turned in a strong week for the Mitchell men's basketball team, averaging a double-double with 20.5 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game, while helping lead the Mariners to a 2-0 record.
Jordyn Streitmatter
Freshman guard Jordyn Streitmatter (Brewster, Mass.) turned in a breakout performance in the lone game the Mitchell women's basketball team played on the week, scoring a collegiate career-high 26 points in an overtime win over Dean College.
