Two Basketball Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Teams
NEW LONDON, Conn. – One member of the Mitchell College men's basketball team and one member of the Mitchell College women's basketball team were named to the 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District Team for their respective sport, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Senior Kyrsten Lucas (Manchester, MD) and junior Eddie Volkerts (New London, Conn.) each earned the honor for the first time in their collegiate careers.
In order to be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and have competed in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must have started in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.
