Buscetto Tabbed NECC Player of the Week
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Mitchell College junior Mikey Buscetto was named New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the sport of men's basketball, as announced by the league on Monday morning.
Buscetto averaged a double-double of 16.0 points and 10.0 assists per game over the first three games of the season. He also tacked on 4.7 rebounds and 3.0 steals per contest and shot 40 percent from the floor.
Buscetto netted 17 points and handed out 11 assists in his Mitchell debut against Anna Maria College. Against Trinity College he filled up the stat sheet with a career-high 22 points, 11 assists, six rebounds and five steals, and in a win over St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) he finished with nine points, eight assists and three steals.
Mitchell (1-2 overall) will next play at Dean College on Wednesday, November 17 at 6 p.m.
