FRANKLIN, Mass. - The Mitchell College men's soccer team suffered a 2-0 setback at Dean College on Wednesday evening in non-conference action.
The Bulldogs remained unbeaten on the season and improved to 11-0-0 overall. Samuel Fonseca scored in the 16th minute to give Dean the early edge, and Yuri Mascarenhas added an unassisted tally early in the second half to complete the scoring.
The Mariners did well to slow the Dean attack. The Bulldogs entered the game averaging 7.5 goals per game and had outscored opponents by a 74-1 margin. The two goals was their smallest margin of victory this season.
Mitchell goalies Anthony Drake and Romer Ochoa split time in net. Drake finished with two saves in the first half while Ochoa stopped three shots in the second. Dean held a 16-1 advantage in shots.
Mitchell will next host Wheelock College on Saturday, October 10 at 3 p.m.
