QUINCY, Mass. -- The Mitchell College men's soccer team fell 4-0 to Eastern Nazarene College on Saturday night in a New England Collegiate Conference clash at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Leon Zaffonato finished with two goals and an assist to lead the red-hot Lions to their 10th straight win. ENC limited Mitchell to only three shots on goal, all of which were stopped by keeper Tyler Ferreira.
The Lions scored three goals in the first half, two of which came off the foot of Zaffonato in the opening 14:17 of the contest. Charlie Swann added a score in the 27th minute, and Kirby Georgeon tacked on an insurance marker in the 50th.
Mitchell goalkeeper Seth Strader finished with four saves.
Mitchell (1-8-1 overall, 0-2-0 NECC) will next play at Suffolk University on Monday, October 14 at 1 p.m.
