
Six Soccer Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Teams
NEW LONDON, Conn. – Four members of the Mitchell College women's soccer team and two members of the men's program were named to the 2024 CSC Academic All-District Team for their respective sport, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Seniors Gemma Landry (Lewiston, ME), Tessa Seesock (Jacksonville, Fla.), Hannah Penn (New Fairfield, Conn.), and junior Cassandra Roman (New London, Conn.) each earned the honor from the women's soccer team, while seniors Matt Ladd (Griswold, Conn.) and Nick Forst (Ellington, Conn.) were recognized from the men's program.
In order to be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and have competed in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches.
