Clack, Kinsella Earn NECC Weekly Honors
MANSFIELD, Mass. – A pair of Mitchell College men's soccer player were honored by the New England Collegiate Conference on Monday morning.
Junior Nolan Clack was named NECC Player of the Week while sophomore Dylan Kinsella was tabbed NECC Rookie of the Week. The duo helped Mitchell to a 1-1 draw against Worcester State University last week.
Clack accounted for Mitchell's lone offensive score in the showdown. His first goal of the season came in the 41st minute when he redirected a cross into the back of the net with a volley from outside the goalie box. The marker, the second of his career, gave the Mariners a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Kinsella made his second career start and played all 110 minutes in goal, finishing with four saves in the stalemate. He made three stops in the second half and another in extra time to help preserve the tie.
Mitchell (0-2-1 overall) next hosts Nichols College today at 4 p.m.
