Ehnot, Hoxie and Donelin Earn All-Conference Honors

ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Eight of the nine sponsored programs were represented on 2008 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Soccer All-Conference Team, it was announced today by Commissioner Del Malloy. In addition to the All-NECC honors, four separate major individual award winners and the team sportsmanship award were also voted upon and selected this week.

Leicester, Mass. - Freshman forward Alexandra Fernandes (Tucson, AZ) tallied two goals and goaltender Shannon Tibbetts (Warren, MA) made four saves as the Becker College Hawks defeated the Mitchell Mariners 2-0 today at Alumni Field in the first round of the New England Collegiate Conference women's soccer tournament.
Mitchell Drops Game to NECC Rival Elms College, 5-0

October 22, 2008, NEW LONDON, CONN.--One minute into the game, Elms player Christiana Gagne split the Mitchell defense and crossed to Allison Couteure who burried one into the net. The second half proved to be a challenge with Elms adding four more goals to win the game 5-0.

October 18, 2008, New London, Conn.--In a NECC Conference match, Mitchell dropped in overtime 4-3 to Daniel Webster College. The Mariners are currently ranked number 3 in the NECC conference and look forward to wrapping up the season this week.
Mitchell and Becker Finish Stalemated at Two

Leicester, Mass.- In womens soccer action, Becker College and Mitchell College played to a 2-2 double overtime tie. The game was back in forth throughout the entire contest. In the first half Becker got on the board first when Catherine Millette (Columbia, CT) took a shot from 10 yards out and placed over the head of Mitchell goalkeeper Morgan Lindsay (Sarasota, FL). Mitchell battled right back when Leslie Briggs (Dighton, MA) passed to Paige Ehnot (West Hartford, CT), Ehnot then place the ball perfectly into the left corner of the net, tying the game at one.

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Mitchell College defeated host Newbury College in womens soccer by the score of 6-3 today in Chestnut Hill, MA in the first meeting of the teams in the inaugural year of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC). The Mariners were paced by sophomore Paige Ehnot (West Hartford, CT/Conrad) and freshman Nicole Hoxie (Winsted, CT/The Gilbert). Ehnot and Hoxie peppered Nighthawks keeper Anastasia Tridenti (Gloucester RI/Ponaganset) taking 15 of the visitors 26 shots, scoring on 5 of them.

BENNINGTON, VT, September 27, 2008 Mitchell College defeated Southern Vermont College 3 1 in New England Collegiate Conference play. Mitchell offensive effort was lead by sophomore Paige Ehnot (West Hartford, CT) who had 2 goals unassisted.

NEW LONDON, CT, Sept 10, 2008 - Mitchell College Womens Soccer team played a tremendous first half lead by freshman forward Nicole Hoxie (Winsted, CT) and Paige Ehot (West Hartford, CT) who continually pressured the Anna Marie defense with combined 6 shots on goal. While Anna Maries offensive attacks were lead by Amand Hevy with 5 shots on goal. But at the end of 45 minutes of heat play the game was tied at 0-0.
Lesley Tops NECC in Womens Soccer Preseason Poll

ATTLEBORO, Mass. Lesley University has been tabbed as the preseason favorite to capture the New England Collegiate Conference womens soccer championship, it was announced today by Commissioner Del Malloy. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the NECCs head womens soccer coaches.
Paige Ehnot Named NECC Player of the Week
PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Mitchell sophomore forward Paige Ehnot (West Hartford, Conn.) grabbed NECC honors after leading the Mariners to a 2-0 week. Ehnot had five goals on the week, two of which were game winning goals against NECC action. The Mariners defeated Newbury 6-3 and Wheelock 5-3. Ehnot has seven goals in her last three contests, all against conference teams.
Freshman Nichole Hoxie Rookie of the Week
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Freshman forward Nicole Hoxie (Winsted, Conn.) helped lead the Mariners to a 2-0 weekly record against NECC play. Hoxie tallied an amazing 10 points scoring two goals and an assist in the 6-3 win against Newbury and netted two more in a 5-3 victory over Wheelock.
