Men's Tennis Drops Home Finale to Albertus Magnus
NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Mitchell College men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Albertus Magnus College on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference match-up at the Mack Tennis Courts.
Albertus Magnus (7-4 overall) began the match by sweeping doubles play. The Falcons then claimed wins at the bottom four singles positions—all in straight sets—to secure the match.
Mitchell's two points came at the top two singles spots courtesy of Orson Sinclair and Michael Berman. Sinclair needed a super-tiebreaker to defeat Peter Zacharias at No. 1 while Berman breezed past Cerrone Bell in straight sets.
