earn a berth in the NECC Championship.
An 18-game slate will present a challenge for the women's
volleyball team this fall. The Mariners host a tri-match
against Pine Manor and Albertus Magnus to start the year
off on September 8. Mitchell has a total of 10 home dates on
the docket, including non-conference matches against Mount Saint

eight-match conference season begins on September 29 at home
against Becker, as the Mariners hope to qualify for the NECC

The women's tennis team gets back into action on September 8 at
Albertus Magnus, the first of 12 matches in 2012. The Mariners open
their home season four days later against Saint Joseph before
vaulting into conference play. The six teams in the NECC will all
play a home-and-home series with each other, and the top four
squads at the end of the regular season will qualify for the NECC
Championship.
The men's golf team tees it up for the first time on September
10 in a tri-match with Becker and Newbury. The Mariners will
play in six tournaments in the fall, including the two-day NECC
Championship on October 6-7. Mitchell is also scheduled to host two

Island College on September 12 and the Mitchell Invitational on
October 10.
The men's and women's cross country teams will compete at seven
events this season. Both squads open the year at the Trinity
Invitational on September 8 before hosting the Mitchell
Invitational at Stenger Farm Park on September 14. The Mariners
will then have three more meets to prepare for the NECC
Championship on October 13 at Harkness Memorial State Park. Each
team finished as runner-up at last year's championship.
