Mariners Put 15 on NECC Academic All-Conference Team
ATTLEBORO, Mass. - A total of 124 student-athletes, including 15
from Mitchell College, were named to the New England Collegiate
Conference (NECC) Academic All-Conference Team for the 2013 spring
semester.
Representing the Mariners were sophomore Hector Aleman (men's
basketball), sophomore Jordan Cook (men's lacrosse), senior Rocco
Devona (men's tennis), sophomore Drew Doyle (baseball),
sophomore A.J. Fialkowski (men's lacrosse), junior Chris Joy (men's
lacrosse), sophomore Trace Lanson (men's basketball), sophomore
Chris McKeon (men's tennis), junior Kenneth Olszewski (baseball),
sophomore Evan Peck (baseball), senior Tiffany Person
(softball), sophomore Lindsey Romagnino (softball), junior
David Sabilia (men's lacrosse), junior Zachary Simmons (men's
tennis) and senior Rebecca Tabak (women's basketball). A
total of 12 Mariners were first-time spring honorees while
Devona, Person and Tabak earned the distinction for the third
time in their careers.
To be eligible for NECC Academic All-Conference, a student-athlete
must post a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.40 on a
scale of 4.00 and must be a sophomore or higher in class standing.
Student-athletes who competed in men's and women's basketball,
men's volleyball, baseball, softball, men's lacrosse, women's
lacrosse and men's tennis were eligible for spring NECC academic
honors.
